The busy port at Heraklion handles more than a million passengers annually with destinations to 11 different locations.


The port is serviced by four different ferry companies, all of whom offer excellent onboard facilities and service.

The port's excellent facilities meet the needs of all passengers. These include: shops, restaurants and information kiosks. The port has been fully adapted to cater for people with disabilities.

The port itself offers both short and long-term parking and parking reserved for those with disabilities.

Several shipping companies run ferry services to and from the port of Heraklion. These include the ANEK Lines, Minoan Lines, Lane Lines and Hellenic Seaways. The ferries are all well equipped with facilities for the disabled, shops, bars, restaurants and decks to relax. Passengers with disabilities should contact the ferry company with any special needs when making the reservation.
